Spend a Weekend with Kids in Appleton, Wisconsin

Situated along the Fox River, on the northern edge of Lake Winnebago, Appleton has more going for it than the state's second largest shopping mall (Fox River Mall). It's a great city to visit with children.

This hotel is adjacent to the Fox River Mall and a short drive from the airport. It is kid friendly and offers free WiFi and free deluxe breakfast buffet to all guests.
I have never eaten anything off the menu at Culver's that I didn't like. The butter burgers are the best but don't forget to save room for fresh made custard. It's a different specialty flavor every day.
It also has several hands-on magic exhibits that kids will enjoy.
This museum has plenty of fun interactive exhibits to promote hands-on learning for kids, including a mock fire truck zone and a doctor/hospital area. There's also a inflatable play area for the littlest ones.
Famous magician Harry Houdini grew up in Appleton, and this museum contains memorabilia from his life and career. It also has several hands-on magic exhibits that kids will enjoy.
Highlights of this park include a children's farm with goats, llamas and other animals, along with a beach area and nature trails. This is a great place for those with younger kids.
