Olympia Splurge!

Olympia is a small and scenic city about an hour's drive south of Seattle. Charming historic B&Bs, surprisingly creative chefs, a plethora of spas and some world-class fine entertainment make it a perfect off-the-beaten-path destination for a splurge weekend.

A secluded English Tudor mansion on the forested shores of Puget Sound could be the setting for a murder mystery or a romantic getaway. I'd choose The Inn at Mallard Cove for the latter. Each room has its own bath, fireplace and private terrace. And, each morning, guests enjoy a full gourmet breakfast.
The year was 1887. A timber baron and his wife built their 17-room Queen Anne style mansion in the heart of Olympia. Fast forward to the present - the home has become Swantown Inn B&B where your elegant lodging for your Olympia splurge weekend awaits. Luxury amenities and a delicious gourmet breakfast round out the experience.
Downtown's main performance venue, Washington Center for the Performing Arts, is the reason.

What splurge is complete without a pampering spa indulgence? In Olympia, you'll have a wide range of day spas to chose from, but V-Spa offers an extensive menu of individual treatments and packages for him-her, her-her or him-him splurges. Start with the Escape Two Together package and design your own extended couples spa day with whichever add-on treatments strike your fancy. A long menu of treatments designed for him will make sure he's not left out in the waiting room flipping through Vogue.
