This museum actually tricks kids into thinking they're playing when they're actually learning. Ingenious! This educational magic is due to the state-of-the-art interactive exhibits that pull kids in with sounds, sights and information presented in fun ways. The museum is actually called the Harbor History Museum and it just opened in its new quarters in the fall of 2010. The museum occupies a repurposed warehouse, a perfect space for their high-tech, state-of-the-art interactive exhibits. It's a relatively small museum, but with kids plan to spend a few hours. Admission for the new museum is $6 for adults, $4 for kids, 6 and under is free.
What's a kids weekend getaway spot without a Ben & Jerry's. As sure as the sun rises, the kids will ask for ice cream. Uptown's B&J comes to the rescue with all their tasty standards and some new flavors too.
