Everett Weekend with Kids

North of the destination city of Seattle is Everett, home to the world's largest airplane manufacturer. Most people know about Boeing, but they don't realize there are plenty of other things to do in Everett. Enough, certainly, to entertain a bunch of kids for the weekend!

This big, modern hotel is in a great location at the heart of downtown Everett. Kids will love the pool, parents will love the location. The full breakfast buffet is one of the better ones I've had.

This classic seafood restaurant has one of the best views in town. Located in the Everett Marina Village, it looks out over the water, reminding you of where your food came from. Anthony's specializes in Northwest seafood. Always a treat for families!
Your kids might complain before you get there, but they'll be mesmerized by the entire experience.
An absolute must-do if you're in the Everett area. Kids get to design their own planes, sit in a real cockpit, view airplanes being built, and tour the largest building in the world. Your kids might complain before you get there, but they'll be mesmerized by the entire experience. Tickets are $15 for adults, $8 for kids 15 and under. More

Jetty Island is like a kids paradise. Warm, shallow water, with miles of sand to dig, and plenty of room to run around with a frisbee or ball game. You reach the island via a short, 5-minute boat ride from the Everett Marina. Bring beach chairs, a cooler, and plenty of sun screen!
