Do it Like a Local - a Weekend in Stowe, Vermont

Even though I'm not a skier, I just love Stowe Vermont. It's a beautiful small town with lovely shops, resorts, and restaurants. It's so hard to choose just one hotel and restaurant, because there are so many wonderful choices - so you'll want to visit more than once to get the full experience.

Stoweflake is one of my favorite resorts of all time. It's got beautiful grounds, an amazing spa, and great restaurants. We've traveled here on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed our stay. It's great for those looking for a nice relaxing break.
This may seem like a strange choice, but I dream of these delicious Dutch pancakes. It's the perfect breakfast place to start your day, and believe me - once you try it, you'll want to come back for breakfast the next day.
There's also a fun alpine slide that you can ride in the warmer months - appropriate for kids and adults!
Check out this Icelandic Sheep Farm in Stowe, for a glance of a very different life of raising sheep. The sheep are raised for their wool, and you can purchase the yarn, or learn about how they are farmed.
Elements Spa at Stoweflake is one of the best hotel spas I've visited. They offer wonderful treatments in a serene location. You could easily spend most of the day here.
