“Power Assisted” Bags and Other Air Travel Luggage Trends
Maybe you’ve heard about the new bag from the British firm Live Luggage, called the PA Hybrid.
PA stands for “power assisted”.
It’s a suitcase on wheels with battery-powered “flat motor technology” designed to give you an easier time of it when toting bags “uphill” or even on steps – and John Ebb, the CEO of Suitcase.com thinks it’ll be big when it’s available here in April (price alert: according to the Live Luggage website, the PA Hybrid will cost around $600).
Meanwhile, Suitcase.com recently conducted a survey of travelers, and among the findings:
- Nearly 60% pack less than they used to
- More than 70% use carry-on bags
- Almost 90% consider wheels the most important bag feature
Maybe soon that’ll change to “power-assisted wheels” being the most important feature. But tell me – what do you think of the PA bag?
