By showcasing posts from blogs alongside our travel reviews, our readers will find the freshest content available, resulting in more information, easier planning and better trip decisions.

How does Travel Gems help bloggers?

If you write it, they will read may sound logical, but as most bloggers know that is easier said than done. We can help. By showcasing posts on UpTake we introduce bloggers to a new, wider audience. We also drive new traffic to every blog appearing on UpTake by linking to the original post. If you write it, they will read -- and we'll help them get there.

How does UpTake find the posts?

Magic! Also, web technology. Every time a post links to UpTake, we "hear" it via the brilliant ping back/trackback technology. Like most great ideas the posts just come to us. It's a gift.

What is the editorial process?

Our travel editors review the posts and if the post meets our editorial criteria then an excerpt appears on the most relevant (there's that word again) page within UpTake. We select the page based upon the UpTake link that the blogger includes in the post or on the page content. How can you participate? Just link to the UpTake page that best fits your post content. We'll do the rest.

What does a post look like on our site?

Fancy and highfalutin! We present the post title, the blog name, a thumbnail image (if available) and just enough text to let UpTake visitors understand the post context -- they'll have to visit the original blog to read it in its entirety (see Traffic).

How can I tell others my posts are gems?
