The Seattle Art Museum is a fun place to explore for an afternoon, but if you guys are more the active type, there are tons of places to get out and go for a hike. Olympic National Park and Mount Rainier are two great spots close by.

The Cedarbook Lodge is a really great hotel, but it's located out by the airport. There is a monorail line nearby, but if you'd rather stay in the city, check out the Maxwell Hotel. It's a trendy little hotel right in downtown. As for restaurants and sights, kill two birds with one stone by heading to the Pike Place Market. The surrounding area is littered with restaurants, or you can get some food right in the market itself. This is where you'll see Seattle's famous thrown fish, so remember to bring your camera and watch out! There's also some really great artisans selling their goods, like handmade jewelery, bags, and other stuff.

Six Seven Restaurant in the Edgewater Hotel is an excellent choice. A great place to eat located inside a great place to stay!

  • Not sure how much you're looking to spend, but the Comfort Inn in North Seattle is a decent, affordable place to stay. There's really a lot to do here--the Seattle Convention and Visitors Bureau has a website that may help you plan at http://www.seattlesupersaver.com/things2do/default.html. There are a jillion wonderful restaurants; it all depends on what areas you're visiting. It's hard to go wrong, so I'd encourage you to be a little adventurous with your food choices. Hope you enjoy your trip!
