When you choose Kapolei, Hawaii as your vacation destination on the island of Oahu, you will be within the boundaries of Honolulu. With its annual events taking place all through the year, the fabulous weather for outdoor pursuits and the many attractions, there are plenty of things to see and do in this city. Golf courses abound, so the avid golfer will have plenty of opportunities to try different courses and for the entire family the Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park will be an exciting day.

When in Kapolei, you have to take time out to visit Pearl Harbor, which is less than 8 miles from Kapolei. The tour will provide you with a historical narrative of those days in 1941 when so many people lost their lives. You will gaze around in amazement at the breathtaking scenery and the beautiful beaches of the island as you take this short drive. The sight of the Arizona Memorial is an educational experience for young and old alike. There are three ships featured here  - the Arizona, the Missouri and the Bowfin, each with a museum and the names of those killed.

See the whales playing offshore when you take the Leeward Coast Whale Watching Cruise, which operates from December through April. This is the time when the humpback whales are easily spotted off the coast. You do have an hour’s drive from Kapaa to the Ko Olina Marina where you will meet the captain. It is advisable to book your cruise at least 48 hours in advance and to arrive about 20 minutes before your scheduled time of departure.
