The
motor city welcomes you to visit. Detroit
Michigan is a great city, with
lots of life and culture to offer every visitor. Located on Lake
Superior at the Canada Michigan border, Detroit offers, not only excitement, but a
gateway to Canada.
A
Detroit Michigan vacation should
include a visit to the Detroit
Zoo. They kids will love spending the day among nature’s beautiful
creatures. One of the kiddy’s favorite is the butterfly / hummingbird house.
You walk through the habitat and butterflies and hummingbirds are flying freely
all around you. If they are very still, you may be able to get a picture of
your little guy with a butterfly perched on his head. Not only is it fun, this part
of your Detroit Michigan vacation is actually an educational
one, as you and the kids learn while you visit.
The most dramatic place to stay on your Detroit Michigan
vacation has got to be the Marriott
at the Renaissance Center. Seventy three floors of sparkling glass is what
you will find when you arrive. The Marriott is located in this group of five
towering skyscrapers called t he Renaissance
Center, or RenCen. The
RenCen is truly a city within itself. The fabulous Coach Insignia Restaurant is
located roof-top and will deliver a dining experience you will not soon forget.
The food and the views of Detroit
are nothing less than unforgettable. The Marriott offers 1.298 rooms that are
dressed in complete luxury, and many face the Intercoastal Waterway. The People
Mover does run to the RenCen. This is a great place to stay if your Detroit Michigan
vacation includes side trips to The “Joe” Lewis Arena, Ford Field, Comerica Park or the North American International
Auto Show.
