When
planning a Carmel California Vacation, be sure
and give yourself a couple of extra days. Why?
You will not want to leave this beautiful village by the bay. History,
romance and absolute beauty all contribute to the hold that Carmel has over its visitors.
Your Carmel California Vacation will
be a busy one because there are many things to do, and everyone will tell you
the best way to explore the village it is by walking. There are so many lovely
courtyards, over sixty, so you will want to walk so that you don’t miss one. Stop
in at the Chamber
of Commerce and pick up a walking map as well as information on all the
local shops and attractions.
Your
Carmel California romantic vacation should also include a visit to Tor
House. It is home to one of the great American poets, Robinson Jeffers.
This haven built of stone from the shores of Carmel in 1914; it is also the location of
the Hawk Tower. The tower will remind you of the Irish Stone
Towers from ancient
times. This is an amazing photo opportunity.
If your Carmel California
Vacation allows for area site seeing, then jump in your car and enjoy the 17-Mile
Drive. You will find there are many places to stop along the way. Follow
this drive to the Pebble
Beach Golf Links if golfing is your forte. World famous golfing on one of
the most beautiful coast side courses, call ahead arraignments are recommended.
You will also find there are great photo opportunities along the 17 Mile drive
that will allow photos beside the golf course. There are many spots along the 17 Mile Drive where
you can watch sea otters at play. If the season is right, you may see whales as
they are migrating.
