The Frothy Monkey also serves full breakfast and features local and organic ingredients whenever possible. Weather permitting, there's outdoor... More >

Union Station, a Wyndham property, is a grand Southern Belle of a historic hotel that is actually a fully restored 19th century train station. It's worth just checking out the gorgeous 65-foot vaulted lobby ceiling, featuring 100-year-old stained glass. Located on Broadway, downtown Nashville's main drag, this landmark hotel is just a short cab ride from bustling 2nd Avenue. It's also adjacent to the Frist Center For Visual Arts and just 6 blocks from LP Field, home of the Tennessee Titans.
This is a pedestrian friendly part of town where people watching is plentiful.
Like the historic adjacent Union Station Hotel adjacent to it, the Frist Center's back story is far removed from its current intentions. You can easily spend the day at Cheekwood and see why it was named as a Fodor's Destination of Choice.

Located in the Gulch, a hip new revitalized area in urban downtown Nashville, the taproom at Yazoo is open on weekends until 8 p.m. and features Nashville brews like Dos Perros (my fave) and Pale Ale. Head out afterwards for a late dinner at one of the many hot spots the Gulch has to offer. This is new Nashville, ya'll. More
