The beach is king at Kiawah Island. Ten miles of powdery white sand stretches along the coast. The hard packed sand is perfect for riding bikes. You won't find commercialism here, beyond the resorts that sit behind protective sand dunes. This is the South Carolina coast at its finest.

For dinner with an ocean view, you can't beat The Atlantic Room at The Ocean Course. Kiawah's premier seafood restaurant serves up fine dining with a ringside seat for sunset. And, I appreciate the chef's commitment to serve sustainable seafood.
