West Chester, PA - Do It Local
I grew up in West Chester so I am very familiar with the area and all of it's appeal. Not only is it home to QVC, but also West Chester University as well as the America Helicopter Museum. Since I lived in this area for about 25 years of my life, I know that it has some wonderful eateries, cafes and coffee shops. It also has a plethora of parks and gardens to explore. It has bars that appeal to the younger crowd, but also classy restaurants and B&Bs that may cater to the older crowds. It's about 45 minutes from Philly, so it's easy to stay in WC and take a day trip into the city to explore. Come visit it for yourself. . .

QVC is a television channel where everything imaginable is sold, and their studio is in West Chester PA. They have an on-site gift shop, and also offer tours of the studio to the public. It's very fascinating!

Located on the outskits of West Chester is the helicopter museum. Kids will love this! They have small planes and helicopters that kids can explore, and you can purchase tickets to go up in a helicopter. I've done it, and it's a ton of fun! The adults would enjoy this part as well!

In the heart of West Cheter is this restaurant and bar. They brew their own beers on site, which is really fascinating, and the flavors vary by season. Not only is it a rustic look, but they have wonderful food from soup to crab cakes to sandwiches and more. Local to this area, you won't find any Iron Hill's outside this area.
Longwood Gardens is a beautiful location for almost anything. I know several couples who got engaged here, and it's beautiful for a photo shoot. This is a beautiful historical B&B located in West Chester, PA. They have six rooms, and frequently host events here, so it's a great place to get away, or to host an event. One of the things that is nice, is that they offer their recipes online, so if a guest really loved a specific meal, they could make it at home! It's a nice personal touch. More
