If you have kids you need to keep interested, make sure to stop at Green Frog Toys (1031 NW 11th) and REI (1405 NW Johnson) where there are tents to play in and gear to oogle. If that fails, make a stop at Ben and Jerrys (301 NW 10th).

Located right downtown, Pioneer Square is a fun, urban complex (voted 4th best public space in the world) with something for everyone. Or just skip everything but dessert and head downstairs to Moonstruck Chocolate Caf!

Especially fun during the holidays, Lloyd's is a shopping mecca with the added fun of ice skating. Have some people who want to shop til they drop, while others just want to drop onto the ice skating floor? No problem! Everyone gets what they want...and you can always catch a movie afterward! Expect to pay approximately $6 admission and $3 skate rental.

If you're visiting on a Saturday, take the free MAX light rail system to Burnside Bridge and take in the colors, sounds, and smells of the Portland Saturday Market. The food is delicious, the crafts and art beautiful, and the street musicians are amazing! More
