Do it Like a Local in Portland

The City of Roses is known for its local breweries, happening music scene, and alternative artsy vibe. Portland is an excellent escape for a weekend city break. OMSI is a Portland fave for kids and adults alike. I never tire of visiting this fascinating, state-of-the-art science museum. Just across the river from downtown Portland, OMSI is easy to get to for those staying in downtown. Also see a movie at the OMNIMAX Theater. Tickets are about $8.50 for adults and $6 for kids.
