Cincinnati On a Budget

At the edge of Kentucky along the mighty Ohio River, Cincinnati is a great place to play and take the family. A little more laid back on the Ohio side and a little more lively across the river in Kentucky. The German heritage here means great food and beer, along with Southern hospitality.

This might stretch the definition of budget at around $150, but you'll get a great cooked-to-order breakfast, a large two room suite that'll easily fit a family of four, and free cocktails each evening. Now, that rate doesn't seem so high. Great location, in the middle of an exciting area across the river from downtown Cincinnati.
An actual, honest-to-goodness, German Biergarten and beer hall. Adults will love the large selection of genuine Hofbrau beers, kids will think the variety of sausages here are the best hot dogs they've every had. Under $20 per person, less without beer.
Don't leave without trying this regional specialty.
Fantastic entertainment district directly across the river from Cincinnati. Kids will love the aquarium. Plenty of great places to eat, drink, and be entertained. Walk along the river for some great views. Free.
The oldest team in baseball, going back to 1869. If you're here in the spring or summer, you've got to go to the home of Charlie Hustle - Pete Rose - and take in a great game at this very nice stadium. Ticket prices start at $5.

See the vault with all the major leaguers' bat templates. Watch those bats being made on the factory tour. $10 for adults, $5 for kids and includes a souvenir... More >
