One of Halifax's most historical sites, the Citadel was completed in 1856 as part of the Halifax Defence Complex. This fortification is complete with defensive ditches, ramparts, a musketry gallery, powder magazine and signal masts. Plus it offers great views of the city and Dartmouth across the harbor!
