Created after a devastating flood in the city, the Greenway is a recreational area that runs along the Red River. Those looking for an easy bike ride will love Grand Forks, where you can bike for miles with nary a hill. Go sledding along the dike in Lincoln Drive Park, or enjoy one of the other parks along the route.
Just a short drive from Grand Forks, Turtle River is a great escape. Camping, hiking, and cross-country skiing are featured, but kids will also enjoy wading in the creek or sledding down the hill. Kids can borrow fishing gear at the park office to try their hand at catching some rainbow trout.
