Lincoln, New Hampshire with Kids

My husband and I travel frequently to Lincoln, New Hampshire with our two children. It's not too far from our home in the metrowest suburbs of Boston, and we love all of the kid-friendly activities there. Lincoln is also about 45 minutes away from North Conway, so it's easy to do both in a longer vacation. Like most of New Hampshire, the atmosphere is casual, making it a relaxing getaway.

The Mountain Club on Loon is a resort and spa located right at the base of Loon Mountain in Lincoln. It's one of my favorite hotels in North Conway because of the amenities - including a gym and indoor pool, as well as the location. In addition, kids under 12 eat free here.
The Woodstock Station, a brewpub, is located in a train, which immediately makes it a big hit with the kids. The menu is pretty large, and they often have live entertainment.

Clark's Trading Post is a Lincoln, New Hampshire institution, and shouldn't be missed. Admission includes the train ride (where you'll see the wolfman who lives in the forest) as well as the famous bear show. Even though the bear show never changes, my kids seem to love it the same every time we go!
The Hobo Railroad offers a kid-friendly train ride by the Pemi River through the White Mountains. In the summer, the main station also has other kid-friendly events and activities, so it's a great stop for train obsessed kids!
New Hampshire has several water parks, but I've always liked this one best for families with smaller kids. The Whale Harbor, a small area for little ones, is a great introduction to the larger water rides. They've also been consistently adding new rides, so the experience keeps getting better.

Loon Mountain Park not only has some great skiing, but other family-friendly activities also. In the spring and summer, ride the gondola, follow the nature trail, and ride horses. There's also an adventure area with ziplining and trampolining.  More
