OUR TAKE ON KANSAS CITY
Kansas City, here we come. The larger Kansas City lies in Missouri, and features the National World War One Museum at Liberty Memorial features artifacts including a simulated WWI trench. Near the city’s famous Plaza area you’ll find the breathtaking exhibits of the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art includes an outstanding Asian art collection, as well as the nation’s larges collection of sculpture by Henry Moore. The kid friendly 200-acre Kansas City Zoo features exotic animals and a petting zoo.
For a romantic getaway, visit the American Jazz Museum where you can strap on headphones and hear Ella, Satchmo, Bird and other jazz legends. Sharing the same building is the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. Baseball fans shouldn’t miss the Harry S Truman Sports Complex where the Kansas City Royals swing their bats, and the Kansas City Chiefs play pigskin.
