Duluth is easy to do on a budget because much of what the city has to offer is the natural beauty of Lake Superior and the downtown area called Canal Park. There are plenty of outdoor trails and walking areas to enjoy the views for free, and eating in downtown can be much less expensive than restaurants in any big city. Vacation doesn't always have to break the bank, and Duluth is a good place to visit for a weekend away without emptying your pockets.

Grandma's Restaurant is one of Duluth's original eateries and offers some of the best dining for your money in Canal Park. You can get a killer burger and a refreshing beer here. Head over early because it's a popular place most nights of the week, but the menu is affordable for families or people looking to save money on vacation. You won't spend more than $15 for an entree and the amount of food you get is worth it. Chances are you'll need a box to-go. The service staff is friendly.
