What To Do When You Have One Day In Provincetown

Located out on the very tip of Cape Cod, P-Town is a jewel in its own world. An eclectic society filled with great food, history, art and entertainment using the ocean as its backdrop, you really can't go wrong here. It is one of my favorite weekend get-aways from bustling Boston.

Bet you didn't know that the Pilgrims actually came to Provincetown first. That's right. Plymouth was their second stop. The Pilgrim Monument, in addition to housing a museum explaining how badly the history books have misled you, provides a stunning view of Provincetown below and the coastal shoreline beyond.
Take a load off, sink into a comfortable bed and enjoy the breakfast in the morning before leaving Provincetown behind.
Commercial Street is packed with art galleries. You can spend an afternoon strolling down the street popping in and out of all of them. Bowersock Gallery is open year-round and features New England artists covering a variety of mediums spanning modern and classical genres.
A bar with a view. That's the draw here. Waves from the bay lapping or crashing around you, fresh seafood served up with festive drinks while you watch. Gives a whole new meaning to "ocean view."
Oh - it looks innocent enough. Pizza. Ice Cream. Good stuff like that. But you go here in the evenings on the weekend in the summer to people watch. The parade of people in and around Spiritus shows why it is the place to see and be seen. All walks of life are represented in front of Spiritus.
That's the draw here.
If your day in Provincetown has worn you out, the Revere Guest House is charming history with all the luxuries you could want to spoil yourself. Take a load off, sink into a comfortable bed and enjoy the breakfast in the morning before leaving Provincetown behind. More
