One Day in Boston, Massachusetts

It's tough to explore the entirety of Boston in a single day. It's a city rich in culture, history, and entertainment - it would take a week to really delve into all that it has to offer. But if your schedule only permits one day in which to experience this great city, take advantage of the following recommendations in order to make the most of your time!

As the name suggests, the Boston Harbor Hotel is right on the waterfront. It really has earned its five-star rating, and has been listed in Cond Nast Traveler as one of the World's Best Places to Stay. Walk to any number of fascinating downtown destinations, or stay and soak in the ambiance.
Exceptional Middle-Eastern fare, unexpectedly located in the heart of Cambridge! An affiliation with local Siena Farms ensures fantastic seasonal offerings. Make a meal out of their outstanding selection of "meze", or small plates.
Definitely a bucket list item, even if you're not a fan of the Sox, or even baseball.
Walking the Freedom Trail is, well, pretty much mandatory. Following a map and a red painted line through the heart of Boston, you will be directed past a host of historic landmarks, restaurants, shops, and views. Simply a must!
The Boston Museum of Science was our 7th grade field trip destination (from my Southern Maine school). The Planetarium was my favorite part (I was fascinated with the solar system), followed closely by the seasonal butterfly garden.
If you're in Boston during baseball season, you HAVE TO catch a Red Sox game at Fenway Park. The place is an institution. Definitely a bucket list item, even if you're not a fan of the Sox, or even baseball. Go for the game, stay for the ambiance! And the hot dogs.
