Boston Weekend With Kids

Boston is one of my favorite places to travel with my kids because it's incredibly family-friendly. With a great public transportation system, as well as so many wonderful kids' attractions, it's the perfect spot for a family vacation. I prefer the spring and fall months, when the weather is more comfortable for tourists (and the Red Sox are playing)!

I love the convenient location of the Boston Harbor Hotel, which is located right on the Boston Waterfront near Faneuil Hall, the North End, and South Station. This hotel is absolutely beautiful, and is walking distance to the New England Aquarium (and the Children's Museum, if you are in a walking mood). It's not cheap, but the conv... More >

Aura Restaurant is located in the Seaport Hotel, and on select Fridays, they offer Fine Dining Family Style, where kids are invited to join their parents in a fine dining experience. There are kid-friendly menu items, as well as kids' activities when they start to get fidgety or bored.

My kids can't get enough of the Boston Children's Museum. It's located right on the waterfront, and offers so many wonderful things for kids. The three floors are full of activities, and I have to actually push them from room to room to get them to see the whole place. You should go because it's Fenway Park, one of the best ballparks in America! If you can't get tickets to a game (they are very hard to come by), consider taking a tour instead.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace is one of my favorite things about Boston. The kids love the outdoor entertainment in the summer months, and there are a variety of stores and restaurants to visit. I especially like the pushcarts in the market, because they offer unique and special items. More
