Portland, Maine Weekend With Kids

Are you headed out with the kids, and looking for some fun things to do? Head on out Portland way, and take advantage of some of the following attractions that Portland has to offer for the children.

The Holiday Inn Portland West has one of the best indoor swimming pools around, and is a quick drive to a wide variety of local attractions. The hotel is pet friendly as well!
Your kids will love the Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine. It's ALL about the kids here! Enjoy interactive exhibits, arts and crafts, live shows, and kids can even play dress-up in their own Dress Up Theater! Great for kids of all ages.
The tour begins in the Old Port, then heads to the coast and INTO Casco Bay to view Portland's working waterfront, Calendar Islands and marine wildlife.
Grab a bag lunch and take the kids to the Portland Head Lighthouse! There's rolling green lawns, plenty of picnic tables, and all the room in the world to run around. Older kids will enjoy exploring among the rocks and tidal pools.
Take the kids on a guided tour of the Portland Observatory, learn about the area's history, and enjoy fantastic views from atop this local landmark. Open from Memorial Day to Columbus Day.
