The Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge is the place to find out about the flora and fauna of the region, and outdoor activities abound, from boating to biking to hiking. Don’t let the term, Devil’s Head, scare you or your kids! It’s a huge 340-foot piece of granite jutting out along the boulder strewn river beach. It is a magnificent site to behold. The kid friendly Downeast Heritage Museum is open every day, from Memorial Day through Columbus Day. If you’ve ever wondered what Maine is all about, this place is for you.
