Bath, Maine is the place for you if you’re looking for a tiny city with a mixture of history, beautiful views, and lots of things to do. Among several great ratings, it has been selected as one of the Best Small Cities in America. Sagadahoc Preservation, Inc. is a non-profit organization that has worked to preserve the historic and architectural quality of the city, and you will see examples of their efforts wherever you look.    

For family vacations, stroll along the Kennebec River and then head to Popham Beach and Reid State Park for some outdoor fun kid friendly activities. To see what makes Bath so special, visit the Maine Maritime Museum to find out about the century-old tradition of shipbuilding. Walk along Waterfront Park, where you’ll find historic reminders of Bath’s ship building history. Bath Iron Works has lots of shops and restaurants. Don’t miss the Bath Farmers Market at Waterfront Park. You might want to plan your vacations around the schedule at The Chocolate Church Performing Arts Center, which has year-round performances that will appeal to every age.
