We are looking for an engineering leader and manager with proven ability to build and manage a team of software engineers in a rapid application development environment.
Core responsibilities:
Head the creation of a world-class consumer search software application
Build and manage a team of software engineers in a rapid application development environment.
Implement processes across the team for estimating, design and delivery of projects on schedule. Selection of development, testing, build, debugging, performance monitoring and other tools.
Can be very hands on in first years of the startup, someone who can brainstorm innovative solutions and is comfortable adjusting plans as we go.
Qualifications:
Ten years software development experience, three years experience managing at director level or above and has experience managing remote employees.
Advanced degree in computer science or related field required.
Strong written and oral communication skills and a business orientation. A strong leader who can motivate and develop a team into a highly productive force.
Extensive experience with relational databases. Domain expertise in search and search engine optimization.
Substantial real-world experience and prior involvement working on high-visibility software projects and managing multiple projects concurrently.
