Responsibilities:
Develop application features throughout the stack. Successful candidates will be able to do front end, middle tier and back end infrastructure development in a team environment.
Experience (required):
- 5 years web application development experience with at least 2 years experience at a high-traffic consumer web site
- Experience in Ruby on Rails
- Expertise using relational databases, specifically MySQL is a requirement
- Ability to work within a team
- Strong implementation skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Committed to test driven development
Experience (ideal):
- Hands-on experience with JSON and JavaScript support libraries such as jQuery, prototype, scriptaculous, extJS or others.
- Experience with mid-tier technologies: Web Services, XML, SOAP, SAX, Ruby on Rails, Active Record and/or J2EE technologies including EJB, Spring, Hibernate
- SQL, UNIX, Ant, Maven, Rake, jUnit
