Peoria is a small city in central Illinois, about two and a half hours southwest of Chicago. Peoria is a cozy town with a friendly feel, and offers a selection of outdoor activities for all types of visitors. Peoria is settled on the Illinois River, giving the center of the city a picturesque riverfront area to explore. Extensive parks and recreations areas offer hiking biking, swimming and golf to entertain everyone in your family. The Peoria Zoo and the Luthy Botanical Gardens are popular kid friendly attractions and the neighborhood dog park in Peoria’s Bradley Park make this a pet friendly destination as well.
