One Day in Boise, Idaho

Boise, Idaho, is one of the friendliest cities you'll ever find. It's big enough to assure a day packed with activities, yet small enough that it still retains much of its charm as an isolated, rural capital of a sparsely populated western state. Boise is proud of its unique geography and history, and spending a day in the city is a good way to experience some of it.

One of the more unique places to stay in Boise, this 19th century home is just packed with history and charm. The location is ideal, as well, on a quiet tree-lined street just a few blocks from the state capitol.

The Boise Greenbelt runs for miles through several parks, but it's always fun to stop in Julia Davis to rent a 2-seater paddle boat and spend some time floating on the large pond. Or stroll through the beautiful rose garden, find a bench, and just sit for awhile. Here you'll also find Zoo Boise, the State Historical Museum, Black History Museum, tennis courts, and the depot for the Boise Tour Train.
