Home to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown, New York draws in Family Vacationers year-around. Visit the Cooperstown City Chamber for complete lists of accommodations, dining, and activities. We stopped in at the Aalsmeer Motel and Cottages, a Family Resort with five acres of wooded property right on Ostego Lake. You’ll love their reasonable rates (especially outside of summer vacation months!) The family motel and cottages sit back from the highway, offering quiet, clean, and spacious rooms. Fully equipped kitchens in the cottages offer family vacation groups a home away from home.
Searching for pet-friendly, kid-friendly Family Lodging in Cooperstown New York? Travel Guides cited the Glimmerglass State Park as one of the Top 100 Parks in the Nation. Year round activities include hiking, ice skating, fishing, biking, snowmobiling, and a nice playground for kids.
We liked the Rose and Thistle Bed & Breakfast Inn for romantic couples visiting Cooperstown NY. We enjoyed the beautifully furnished, comfy rooms and friendly hosts. The Cooperstown Bed & Breakfast offers families and romantic couples a home-like atmosphere, reasonably priced rooms, and a fantastic, home-made full breakfast. This B&B is kid-friendly and pet-friendly (companion dogs are accepted with prior arrangements.) There’s a convenient trolley stop right outside the front door for your visits to the Baseball Hall of Fame and downtown museums.
