OUR TAKE ON KULA

Kula, which is consider Hawaii's 'colder' spots (in terms of tourism), is usually a lot quieter than its neighbors to the west.  If you want a quiet escape without bustling tourists, consider a vacation in Kula.  Tourists rarely visit Kula, as its other neighbors attract more visitors because of its booming tourist industry.  If you just want a quiet vacation, however, Kula will definitely fit your bill.  A quick note: don't take your kids here -- it will bore them.

For a vacation that you will remember for ages, visit Kula's Enchanting Floral Gardens.  A popular romantic spot, this botanical garden houses over 2000 different plants from all around the world.  It does charge a small admission fee, but this romantic spot should not be passed up.

After visiting the gardens, consider going in town to eat at their local restaurants.  With options ranging from vegan to exotic, you will surely find something that meets your palate.  Make sure to eat at a Hawaiian restaurant at least once to taste the local cuisine.

For affordable lodging with a scenic view, make sure to visit downtown Kula for the best rates in East Maui.  Rates usually average under $70, with plenty of amenities that are well worth the price.  For lodging without the hassle, choose lodging just outside of town.  Want to learn more about Kula?  Visit their website for more information about romantic options, lodging, restaurants, and other vacation information.
