Koloa Vacations, Tourism & Travel Information

OUR TAKE ON KOLOA

Located just off the Nawiliwili Harbor, Koloa is a hidden gem in Kauai's South Shore, with scarcely over 1,000 residents.  Although the population is small, thousands of visitors flock here every year for a relaxing vacation without the hassle of other big cities, such as Honolulu.  Take the entire family here for a fun vacation with the kids.  If you want to visit here without the kids, Koloa has many romantic options as well, including the Waimea Canyon.  If you do visit Kauai's South Shore, consider staying in Koloa for a day or two.

If you want to entertain the kids without spending too much, visit Koloa Heritage Trail.  10 miles of scenic landscape marks this historic path, with 14 scenic stops to explore, such as Hapa Road and the Jodo Mission Buddhist Temple.  Kids can explore the many beaches along this trail as well.

To enjoy your vacation more romantically, consider a stop at Poipu Bay, just minutes away from Koloa.  Relax here and stay during the evening to view the romantic sunset.  Another great stop is the Kiahuna Golf Course, a scenic golf course encompassing Kauai's South Shore.

For lodging that doesn't break your pocketbook, look for lodging just outside of town.  Lodging here is at its most romantic, with a breathtaking view that cannot be beat.  Want to learn more about Koloa?  Visit their website for more information about kid friendly spot, romantic options, lodging, and much more.
