Best Breakfast and Lunch Restaurants in South Maui

Traveling to Maui? I was just there! What a fun town, especially the beach town of Kihei. This town is especially fun because it really does not try to be anything other than the laid-back beach town that it is. That said it is very close to Wailea, where some of the best hotels in the world reside. So if you want value for you lodging, but still want a taste of luxury on your trip, Kihei is probably the place to stay. This guide will give you some great eating out options while you visit this area for breakfast lunch and Dinner.

Kihei Caffe

BREAKFAST - This local joint is FANTASTIC - the food is in large delicious portions, and they have one of best breakfast menus anywhere I have ever been. Including the midwest! One day we went here for breakfast & lunch. It's that good. They open at 7:00 AM or earlier so you can hit this spot before you hit the waves.

Cafe O'Lei Kihei

BREAKFAST or LUNCH - On the upper floors of a strip-mall; a little less personality than the Kihei Cafe; this place still gets tons of recommends - check it out for sure.

If 3 of my friends were this excited about it, it MUST be good.

LUNCH or DINNER A very very good stry-fry "wok" style place. It really is very very good. Best thing on the Menu is the peanut satay stirfry. the next best thing is like a buckwheat noodle salad server cold. excellent sirvice + they have a really awesome iced tea. Big Beach Food Trucks

LUNCH - spending the day at one of the best beaches in Hawaii? you have 3-4 good food truck options. This is mostly for the experience. The people working in the trucks are friendly and are really fun to interact with.

Pita Paradise

LUNCH - I put this last on my list because it is good but not amazing. When they have fresh fish however, (which is not every day) what they do with it is pretty good, so stop by and see if they have a good fish option. I don't recommend their falafel. it's mushy.
