OUR TAKE ON HANA
Located on Hawaii's Maui island, Hana is the home of Haleakala National Park and miles of scenic coastline. Although not as popular as the main island, Hana is a hidden gem for many visitors, including people looking for romantic vacation spots and families looking to entertain younger ones. The area itself is sparsely populated, giving you time to relax, enjoy your privacy, and experience serenity away from bigger cities.
If you plan to bring your kids here, don't expect to have an adventurous vacation. Instead, you will find natural made attractions with a breathtaking view. This is why we suggest you leave the younger kids at home -- older kids will enjoy Hana instead. If you do bring your kids here, make your first stop Haleakala National Park, home of the Haleakala Volcano. The biggest feature here, besides the volcano, is Haleakala Crater. The crater itself is huge, encompassing 7 miles of scenic Hawaiian landscape. There is also lodging available around this area, including cabins. Make sure to reserve lodging here in advance.
Choosing Hana for your honeymoon? Hana has many romantic attractions as well, including the Hana Maui Botanical Gardens. The entrance fee is very affordable (only $3 per person), but the price of seeing this garden will last for ages. Plant life flourishes here, including exotic flowers and colorful plants.
If you plan to stay in Hana, Hana has over 30 lodging facilities in town, with prices usually under $75. With a view of Hawaii's spectacular scenery, this stay should not be missed. For more information about Hana's romantic attractions, lodging facilities, kid friendly options, and vacation stays, visit Hana's website.
