OUR TAKE ON CAPTAIN COOK

Located at Hawaii's majestic Kealakekua Bay, Captain Cook is a peaceful town located on Hawaii's beautiful shorelines.  Besides attracting many visitors every year for many activities on the bay, it attracts curious visitors looking to learn more about Captain Cook's fascinating history.  A kid friendly resort town, millions of people visit Captain Cook each year for a peaceful vacation away from busy city life.

The main attraction in Captain Cook is undoubtedly Kealakekua Bay.  This is a particularly popular vacation spot for kids because dolphins are known to frequent this bay.  Tropical, colorful wildlife such as reefs and fish inhabit this region, which is why your first stop should be in the bay itself.  Scuba diving is very popular with romantics and kids alike.

If you want a vacation away from the bay, visit the Amy B.H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden, located near Captain Cook.  Along with being a popular romantic hub for newlyweds, it serves as a scenic attraction for older kids who want to learn more about Hawaii's diverse plant life.  This garden alone encompasses over 200 plant species, including native and Polynesian plants.

Of course lodging is always available on Captain Cook, as well as most of Hawaii.  Lodging here is cheap with a ocean view, a view you should not pass up.  Pick lodging near the ocean, and make sure not to stay in a hotel -- it's not very romantic.  To learn more about vacations in Captain Cook, including romantic destinations, kid friendly outlets, and lodging accommodations, visit Captain Cook's website.
