White Vacations, Tourism & Travel Information

Our Take on White, Georgia

Home of Dee's Road Kill Cafe in northwestern Georgia, White is a popular vacation spot for families and couples alike.  Surrounded by deep valleys and lush forests, people vacation here for peace and quiet.  The residents live here because White is more than their home -- it is their life.  Every resident here is proud of their town, boasting about it to any visitors that ask.  When it comes to things to do -- especially involving kids -- the locals are quick to suggest one attraction, Allatoona Lake.

Allatoona Lake, which normally sees over 6 million visitors every year (it is a popular romantic and family retreat), there are many things to do in Allatoona Lake, including exploring the nearby parks, camping with the kids, fishing, boating, and observing wildlife.  If you can, stay here for a day to explore the sights of Allatoona Lake with your kids.  Alternatively, you can also visit White's Red Top Mountain State Park and Lodge, picking lodging for the night in a quiet cabin.

Had enough?  Head back into town, leave the kids in appropriate lodging, and head into town to eat at a romantic restaurant.  If you're on your honeymoon, mention it for a free glass of wine.  If you're daring enough, venture back to Allatoona Lake without the kids and enjoy the evening alone.  To find out more vacation information about White, including lodging, romantic attraction, kid friendly destinations, and more, visit their website.
