Swainsboro Vacations, Tourism & Travel Information
Our Take on Swainsboro, Georgia
Although Swainsboro is very small and offers little for kids to do (we don't recommend taking your kids here for a family vacation), older folks will love the small-town charm and the very friendly residents of this small, Georgian town. Swainsboro has been the heart of the annual Pine Tree Festival for years, which attracts many visitors during the summer. Visit Swainsboro during the summer for a romantic experience.
If you want to start your vacation on a romantic note, visit Harman Park in the center of Swainsboro. Besides featuring miles of beautiful, romantic trails and lush green scenery, it is also a great place to dine and catch up with life. We also highly recommend exploring the natural attractions outside of town, where most people go to vacation instead. Swainsboro might be too small for those looking for an adventure. The local restaurants are an experience in itself, with cuisine served by the best chefs in town. There are not a lot of options for lodging in Swainsboro, so don't expect anything big. Lodging you can expect are cabins, camping grounds, and small bed and breakfasts.
