Home of professional football player Adrian Peterson, Statesboro is a thriving college town that still manages to hold onto its southern charm.  Families travel to Statesboro to immerse themselves in Georgian culture; couples visit here to rekindle lost romance.  No matter what your reason, you won't be disappointed when you vacation here.

To make the most out of your trip with your kids, we recommend the Georgia Southern University Museum.  Kids can explore the museum and look at huge dinosaur skeletons, participate in fun activities, and learn about paleontology.  Admission is free also, which is a plus for families on a budget.  Georgia Southern University has a Wildlife Education Center, which kids should explore also.  There is nothing quite like seeing a bird in flight only an arm's length from your kids.

Leave the kids at home for these attractions.  The Meinhardt Vineyards and Winery Center, just minutes outside of Statesboro, serves award-winning wines in its scenic vineyards.  It is a very popular romantic spot for older couples, but younger couples visit here as well.  Don't forget to talk a romantic walk on the Blind Willie McTell Trail, an interconnecting trail between downtown and the Georgia Southern University campus.

As for lodging, you won't be disappointed.  Along with romantic lodging available in town, there are also natural lodging accommodations outside of town, including cabins.  Want to explore Statesboro?  Please visit their website for detailed information about lodging, attractions, romantic and kid friendly activities, and vacation options.
