What to Do in Savannah if You Only Have One Day

Savannah is a lovely, walkable and historic city. If you've only got one day to enjoy this city, check out my suggestions below. I tried to keep them inexpensive and not very time intensive so that you can spend some of your time just strolling around the historic squares. If it's summer, you're going to to want to duck into the many cafes or shops frequently to beat the heat. Enjoy!

An absolutely stunning church, one of the most beautiful in the world. Give yourself at least thirty minutes to explore the interior and exterior, and bring your camera! The church was constructed in the late 1700s, and once you step inside, you'll feel as though you're touring one of Europe's grandest churches.
A ghost tour is a must if you're at all curious about some of Savannah's spooky past. This company tour is excellent - the tours are not cheesy, but very light, informative and fun. The tours are only $10 and last about 1.5-2 hours. Fantastic way to spend a chilly evening before you go warm up at a local cafe or bar!

Savannah is packed with gorgeous mansions and houses to explore, but I say if you have time for just one, do this one. It's in gorgeous Ogelthorpe Square and has been recently restored. My tour guide was informative and interactive, and you'll learn how each owner changed the house. Fascinating! Tours are about $10.
