Located along Georgia's scenic eastern coastline, St. Simons Island truly is a Islandic experience.  St. Simons Island is an extremely popular vacation resort during the summer, so we advise you visit during the spring when it is quieter.  Unlike other cities in Georgia, you won't get bored here -- there are so many things here, with options for kids and for couples.  Instead of staying in busier cities such as Savannah or Atlanta, choose St. Simons Island instead.  It's the Hawaiian vacation without leaving the U.S.

If you're coming here with the kids, going on a guided St. Simons Island tour is mandatory.  Tour guides will guide you and your kids around town as you explore historic sites and attractions.  If your kids are a bit adventurous, take them horseback riding in neighboring Jekyll Island -- just make sure to reserve your spot in advance.  If you have the money, make sure to check out the party boats near St. Simons, where you can catch fish and party all day long.
