Riverdale Vacations, Tourism & Travel Information

Hometown of R&B singer Ciara, Riverdale is a close suburb of Atlanta.  Many people book lodging here and drive inwards to Atlanta for cheap fare.  Others choose to vacation here solely for a quiet, romantic vacation away from their busy lifestyle.  Unfortunately, Riverdale is not a kid friendly town, with very little to interest kids.  However, you can entertain kids by visiting Atlanta.

With that said, there is another problem with Riverdale.  There are not many attractions in Riverdale, due to its close location to Atlanta.  Our best advice?  Pick lodging here and drive to Atlanta for an interesting time.  Riverdale does plan to expand in the future, but for right now, there is not much to explore in Riverdale, except for a few local shops and fine romantic restaurants in its business district.  There are numerous romantic and kid friendly options in Atlanta, but due to Atlanta's safety, we don't really suggest staying in Atlanta for too long.  Visit Atlanta during the morning and afternoon and head back to Riverdale for local cuisine, a romantic stroll in a city park, and lastly, setting your head down in a local hotel.  Kids can hang around the park and play on playground equipment also, so they're not completely out of options.
