OUR TAKE ON MCDONOUGH

Looking for a family friendly vacation spot in the heart of Georgia?  McDonough, currently over 15,000 strong, still manages to retain its southern heritage, melding old with new.  Thousands of families vacation here every year with their kids to see the beauty of McDonough, explore the various attractions that dot this city's landscape, and experience a vacation that isn't hard on their pocketbook.  McDonough has numerous attractions for kids, including their famous Haunted History Tour (probably not something appropriate for younger kids) and The Henry Players, a local theater group.  We suggest visiting both to entertain kids for hours (if not days).  McDonough also has a popular shopping district for older kids to explore.  To quell their angry stomachs, choose local, uncommercialized restaurants where the food is always fresh and juicy.  There are also romantic restaurants in town -- make sure to ask for wine with your meal.

For more romantic options, leave the kids at home while you explore the various parks in town, with miles of romantic scenery and trails.  Dine near the waters for a romantic end to a busy day.  Lodging is available inside and outside of town, which can be accommodated to any taste.  We suggest skipping the hotels and choose natural lodging instead, including cabins and bed and breakfasts.  For more information about McDonough, including lodging, attractions, romantic options, kid friendly options, and much more, visit their website.
