The scenic waterfront is home to the port city of Brunswick, Georgia, whose natural beauty entices travelers from around the world.  In 1771, General James Oglethorpe laid out the city of Brunswick in the same grid pattern as its sister city Savannah, Georgia, a historically rich and beautiful southern city.  Brunswick boasts many assets and is home to the second largest concentration of historical structures in Georgia.  Among its other assets are the two nearby islands of Jekyll and St. Simon, and has long been known as the “Gateway to the Golden Isles,” luring visitors with the promise of historic sites, beaches and resorts.  The city of Brunswick offers its guests beautiful beaches, limitless shopping and several dining and cultural activities.
