When the city is just a few years shy of the 19th century, a dam was built across the Mispillion River. Soon after, the city’s population rose meteorically along with the increase of banks and other industries. Today, Milford, with its host of attractions situated in downtown, is considered a Crown Jewel of Southern Delaware.
