OUR TAKE ON MYSTIC
Mystic vacations can be for the adventurous group of tourists or for the whole family. But, there are other cities and towns that will do for such travelers. Mystic, however, is one of the rare places where the romantic couple can go to. Mystic vacations are quintessentially romantic getaways. The simmering embers of romance between the couple can be fanned to a brighter flame by visiting the Mystic Seaport. In this area, National Historic Landmark Vessels can be found and explored. A couple of examples are Charles W. Morgan’s wooden Whale Ship, which is the last of its kind, and L.A. Dunton’s New England Fishing Vessel. The couple may also want to see the exhibits that feature ancient shipwrecks at the Mystic Aquarium and Institute for Exploration. Or the couple may simply enjoy the live music entertainment at the Riverwalk Restaurant, one of the more famous Mystic restaurants. Or, during this romantic getaway, the couple may start scouting for the ideal place to tie the knot. The majority of the Mystic hotels, inns, and other accommodations offer wedding packages. The wedding packages also included honeymoon options. The couple may also want to spend their honeymoon in Mystic. After all, Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall spent their honeymoon in Mystic.
