OUR TAKE ON BRIDGEPORT
All members of the family may find a lot of interesting things to do and see in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This multicultural city in southern Connecticut enjoys the advantage of being accessible from Boston and New York. The Bridgeport hotels and other accommodations feature the modern conveniences found in the said major cities. Yet, Bridgeport enjoys a relaxing atmosphere and this can be attributed to its location, which is near the Long Island Sound. And within Bridgeport, travelers can find the country’s most beautiful parks, such as the Seaside Park and Beardsley Park, both of which were designed by the famous landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. This made tourists call Bridgeport as the “Park City.” Nearby, the travelers can take a quick visit to the Beardsley Zoo, which supports the survival of endangered species. Then, the travelers can have their appetites satisfied in one of the Bridgeport restaurants. One recommended place is the Captain’s Cove, where the diners can have a fantastic view of the Black Rock Harbor. But Bridgeport has something else in its history that is unique. In the Second World War, this city was nicknamed “Arsenal of Democracy” because it supplied the majority of the country with needed manufactured goods. Today, Bridgeport is an entertainment center due to the Arena at Harbor Yard, which hosts more than 100 world-class events in the fields of sports, drama, and music.
