Steamboat Springs, Colorado, internationally known as Ski Town, USA - is a historic ranching community at 7,000 feet elevation.  This community, which retains the charm and heritage of the old west, is located at the base of one of the largest ski mountains.  This ski resort receives rave reviews, providing some of the best powder in the Rockies.  In the winter months, Steamboat Spring vacations center around skiing and snowboarding.  There are many activities for the kids, including the Ski and Snowboarding school and kid's vacation center.  

In the summer months, there is tubing on the Yampa River, Hot air ballooning, Golfing, horseback riding, and hiking.  Steamboat Spring accomodations are varied and will suit any traveler's needs.  For pet friendly lodgings, rest your head at the Perry Mansfield Cabins.  These one bedroom cabins, sleeping four, are located on the mountain and are within driving distance of the ski areas.  For a romantic getaway, take a guided gourmet hike with that special someone, and spend the rest of the evening unwinding at the Natural Hot Springs.  The springs are located a short distance away at Strawberry Park.  The secluded stone pools are some of the most beautiful in the states, and cabins are available for an overnight stay.
